Abstract
This research aims to reveal the structural and qualitative features of the narratives of isolation, represented in the diaries (Qais Yumkin) by Hassan Al-Nuaimi; Which was written in the time of Corona, the time of domestic isolation and the interruption of actual communication, which had an impact on the features of the narrative texts, especially those that depend on the daily event, such as diaries, and the research begged In this, the structural approach, which stands on the structure of the text, and the analytical one, which stands on its qualitative features, through an introduction and a preamble, and two axes that dealt with the two basic levels of the features of the narration in the diaries, namely: The first: the level of the structural features of the narration, which is represented in: Time (the time paradox The rhythm of narration), space, imaginary character, and narrative formats, and the second: the level of qualitative features of narration, which is represented in: the narrative news, And the legend, the very short story, the thought, the dream, and then a conclusion that included the most prominent results and recommendations, the most important of which are: that the Corona pandemic had an structural impact on the formulation of the diary, which made the writer focus on retrieving the past and the absence of prediction technology, and the inclusion of an imaginary character to compensate for the distance from the other, And he made the house a closed and open space at the same time, but qualitatively, this represented the invocation of narrative types that carry events and personalities who suffer from the limited events and contact with people in the reality of the writer. The study recommends By studying the literary production of this period structurally and semiotically and monitoring the reader's reaction to monitor the impact of the Corona pandemic on the literary text.
