A Study in Criticizing Criticism of Contemporary Readings in Ibn Zaydun's Comic Letter

Abstract

This research intends to review present-day Readings in an Andalusian prose text; The Comic Letter of ibn Zaydun, a memorandum that left a flawless impression on literature and criticism, both ancient and contemporary. As a result of its main and secondary texts, and its extraversion to elucidations. Albeit the profusion of Readings on it; The Readings - did not get their due portion of review and criticism. However, the research selected five Readings demonstrating different critical theories, which were able to divulge the Readings' obligation to theoretical aptitude and applied practice, got much out of Johanna Natali's review approach, which is based on the Reading question as follows: objectives, text, and critical practice. Meanwhile, the research has handled this while presenting the selected readings, and finally tracking the extent to which it attains the concepts of reading, its response to its key principles, and the hitches it incurred.
