The poetry of the question in the poetry of Jassim Al-Sahih

Abstract

This research aims at addressing the poetry of questioning for the poet Jassim al sahyeh through some of his complete poems based on the analytical and inductive approach, which tracks and monitor the structure of a question in Al- Sahyeh’s poetry texts. In addition, it also tracks the different gestures that he showed beyond the real exact meanings regarding some texts and explains the importance of question in generating meaning. Or producing gestures through the siftings that he’s fulfilling inside the poetic form through an aesthetic code which enters the text in the poetic area. This paper is divided into; an introduction and five sections, it started with a brief introduction about the poet, poetic definition and the question definition. In the first section, I studied in the first section, the gestural formation for the question. Then, the second part summarizes the study of the visual formation for the question and the third section is spotting the light on the dramatic formation of the question. The fourth section addresses the intertextual structure of the question and finally the fifth section discusses the clear role of the repetitive structure of the question in confirming the gesture. Consequently, this paper has been completed with a conclusion and a list of references. To sum up, this paper resulted in some outcomes such as, the deviation of the question from its syntactic gesture. Therefore, new rhetoric meaning would occur and aesthetic gestures that is required for the situation and evident for different circumstances. In addition, the study also results that the image shifted figuratively with the aesthetic gestures for the question form in generating the interrogative layout.
