The Reality of Tourism Investment in The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the Role Thereof in the Growth and Governance of Economy

Abstract

This study examines the early development of tourism investment in Saudi Arabia and the interaction between government and private sector roles within the framework of Vision 2030. It highlights how the Vision encourages investment participation and provides tools to support tourism as a growing contributor to national income. The Kingdom aims to position tourism as a major investment hub, both locally and globally, similar to its role in other economies. A descriptive-analytical method, along with Pearson correlation and regression analysis, was used to analyze the link between government (independent) and private (dependent) tourism investment. Results indicate a strong, complementary relationship—99% correlation and 98% in regression
