The Journal of Arabic Sciences and Humanities takes issues of copyright infringement and plagiarism in publication very seriously. Plagiarism is presenting work or ideas from another source as your own, with or without consent of the original author, by incorporating it into your work without full acknowledgement. Plagiarism can also include re-using your own work without citation. Submitted manuscripts are checked with plagiarism detection software (iThenticate). In case of detecting similarities of up to 25%, or found to have plagiarized other work/ideas or included third-party copyright material without permission or clear acknowledgment, the journal reserves the right to reject the work or take action of retracting the manuscript or take an appropriate legal action. The journal has a blacklist of the names of the violators and taking up the matter with the author’s institution and with other journals in the field of Humanities. To avoid plagiarism problems, the journal highly recommends authors to use any citation checking software as a first step before submitting their manuscripts for publication.
